It's adapted from the popular open-source project MoneyPrinterTurbo — with one deliberate difference that matters more than anything else on this page: it plans videos, it doesn't render them.

What it does
The hard part of a short video usually isn't the edit — it's arriving at the edit with a clear plan. MoneyPrinter Studio is built for that stage.
It shapes a topic into a narrative. One idea becomes a seven-part structure, so the video has a beginning, a turn, and a payoff instead of a list of points read aloud.
It lets you direct every layer. Narration, visuals, captions, voice, and sound direction are all tunable, part by part, rather than generated once and accepted.
It previews pacing. You can see how the parts sit against time before anything is produced — the point where most short videos quietly fail.
It exports a transparent production plan. The output is a JSON file describing the whole video. You can read it, edit it, hand it to an editor, or feed it into whatever tool actually produces the footage.
How it differs from MoneyPrinterTurbo
This is worth being completely clear about, because the names are close and the tools are not the same.

The original goes from topic to finished video automatically. The Taku adaptation stops before rendering on purpose, which means no AI provider keys, nothing uploaded, and nothing auto-published under your name. If what you want is a finished rendered video with minimal involvement, the original is the right tool. If you want control over the plan before anything gets made — or you don't want to hand API keys to a video pipeline — the Studio is.

Setting it up
The GitHub route (the original). Running MoneyPrinterTurbo itself depends on your platform. Windows users can grab a one-click package from the project's GitHub releases — making sure to download the right archive, since the auto-generated source-code zip doesn't include the launch scripts. On macOS and Linux, the project recommends setting it up with uv or running it in Docker, with Python 3.11 or later for local installs. In every case you'll then configure API keys for an AI model provider and for stock footage before you can generate anything.
That's a reasonable setup for a tool that renders full videos. It's also several separate things to learn if you only wanted to plan one.

MoneyPrinterTurbo is an open-source project by harry0703. MoneyPrinter Studio is an adaptation of that idea, published to the Taku marketplace by n1ko, scoped down to planning so it can run locally without credentials.
You don't need to be technical to use this
You don't need to understand GitHub, Codex, or Claude Code to plan a short video with this. The original tool is a genuinely impressive open-source project, and like most of them it assumes you're comfortable with releases, package managers, and configuring API keys before it does anything at all.
