What it does

AFFiNE's core idea is that documents, tables, and a free-form canvas shouldn't live in three separate apps. The Blueprint applies that same three-part shape to planning, before you've committed to any app at all.

Pages that link to each other. The document layer. Your project is broken into Markdown pages for its main parts, linked together so the plan reads as a connected workspace instead of one long document.

Structured fields. The database layer. The things you'd otherwise track in a table are captured as structure rather than buried in paragraphs.

A canvas map. The whiteboard layer, written as a Mermaid diagram that shows how the pages and pieces relate. Mermaid is plain text that many Markdown tools render as a diagram.

First actions. A workspace that starts with a short list of next steps gets used. One that starts empty usually doesn't.

Validation. The blueprint is checked before it's handed over, so you get a coherent set of pages rather than a pile of loosely related notes.
