One Photo, Four Styles: Turn a Snapshot Into a Zine Poster
October 27, 2026

You're working on a journal page, presentation, mood board, or social post. The layout is nearly finished, but something still feels empty.
You don't need another template. You don't need an AI to redesign the entire page. You need one piece with a little personality, and you already have the raw material for it: a photo from your camera roll.
The problem is turning that photo into something that looks made rather than pasted in. Cutting it out, adding texture, and building a paper-collage feel by hand can turn a small finishing touch into an evening's project.
That's what Sticker Studio, an AI photo-styling tool published as a Taku Site, is for:
- Upload one reference photo (JPEG, PNG, or WebP, up to 20 MiB).
- Pick one of four curated AI styles, from a paper zine poster to a stamp-style photo archive.
- Download the result as a PNG and drop it into whatever you're making.
It runs in your browser as a Taku Site, so there's nothing to install. Here's how it works.
Four styles, one photo
Sticker Studio doesn't ask you to learn a design tool. It asks two questions: which photo, and which style.
Each style is a small, focused AI "style skill" with its own visual direction:
| Style | What it does | Worth trying on |
|---|---|---|
| Minimal Zine Poster | Turns your photo into a paper zine-style poster | A single strong subject, a favorite object, a street corner |
| Travel Photo Abstraction | Reworks a photo into an abstract, editorial-looking image | Landscapes and travel shots with clear shapes and color |
| Photo Stamp Archive | Splices the photo into a stamp-like archive piece | Small details from a trip: food, signs, souvenirs |
| Photo Relic Editorial | Gives the photo a relic-like, editorial treatment | Photos that feel like keepsakes |
The descriptions above are a starting point, not a promise. The best way to understand a style is to run it on your own image and see what comes back.
Why a narrow set of styles helps
Open-ended image tools can be paralyzing. A blank prompt box makes you do the creative direction before you've seen anything.
Four curated choices flip that around. You pick a direction, look at the result, and decide whether it suits the page. If it doesn't, try the next style on the same photo.
That fits the job most people actually have: not "make me a new artwork from nothing," but "make this photo of mine look like it belongs in my project." (If you'd rather change the light and color mood of a photo instead of turning it into a graphic piece, LOOKS is built for that.)
The output works especially well in projects that already carry a personal point of view: travel journals, digital scrapbooks, visual diaries, mood boards, invitations, and informal presentations. If you keep a digital scrapbook, Kristen's Digital Journal is a natural home for the pieces you make here.
How to use Sticker Studio
Sticker Studio is published as a Taku Site, so you open it directly in your browser.
Before you start: generating an edit is a paid action on your account. On a published Taku Site, paid generation is charged to the signed-in visitor's Taku account, which means yours, not the creator's. Every time you select "Create with style," that is one generation, and trying another style on the same photo is another generation. If your account can't cover an edit, the Site tells you so instead of generating. See the Taku pricing page for details.
- Sign in with Taku. You need to be signed in to generate an image.
- Choose one reference photo. JPEG, PNG, and WebP files up to 20 MiB are accepted. If your file is bigger, a local tool like Squoosh can shrink it first.
- Pick a style skill. Choose one of the four styles.
- Select "Create with style." The AI generates a styled version of your photo, as a paid action on your account.
- Download the PNG. Save the results you want to keep.
Two details matter before you begin.
First, your photo is uploaded through Taku's protected media flow to generate the result. Choose an image you're comfortable uploading.
Second, download anything you want to keep. The page says plainly that unsaved work disappears when you leave it. A PNG is easy to drop into slides, journals, and design tools.
Start with a photo that has one clear subject
For a first attempt, pick an image with a single obvious subject: a cup of coffee, a bicycle, a storefront, a shell on the sand. Busy scenes with lots of small details give the style less to work with.
Then run the same photo through two or three styles. Keep in mind that each style is a separate paid generation on your account. Comparing them side by side tells you more about each style than any description can.
A style won't fix a blurry photo or bad framing. The useful question is simpler: does this version make the page feel more like yours?
Why we're featuring Sticker Studio on Taku
Taku is built around a simple idea: creators should be able to turn focused ideas into apps, publish them, and let other people experience the result.
Sticker Studio is a good example. It does not attempt to become an entire design suite. It picks one task, turning a photo into a styled piece, and offers a small set of directions for it.
Publishing it as a Taku Site means anyone with the link can try it on their own photo, instead of judging it from a screenshot. You can find more creator-made apps in the Taku Marketplace.
Taku is still in Beta, and creator-published apps will keep evolving. If a style produces something unexpected, generation takes longer than it should, or you wish there were another style, that feedback is useful, to the creator and to the team building the platform around the work.

Give the blank corner some personality
The next time a design feels almost finished, you may not need to change the whole thing.
You might just need one photo of yours, turned into something that looks like it was made for the page.
